So daughter one is now married and on her way to living life as a wife and as one in Christ in love with another.
It’s such a gift. It overwhelms me.
These two girls, Nina and Emma, who I have committed to the Lord over and over.
So many times over the years.
I feel certain that, like Paul in early church times, these two and their desire to live a life pleasing and in service to Christ is not due, in large part, to my efforts. It is purely by His grace.
Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. –Philippians 3:1-6
So I keep committing them again and again. Trusting and knowing I have nothing to fear. No anxiety about what the future holds for them
or for me.
Blessed assurance. Words can’t convey the peace that brings.
